While luxury hotels may be the only way to go when experiencing Aruba as an island paradise, for those who are running on a tight budget, there are other less-expensive hotels in the region which offer the same excellent services and all the luxury amenities. One can still experience Aruba as a destination without necessarily spending a bunch of money.
Some Aruba Caribbean hotels offer package tours and deals to help you experience what the region has to offer. This eliminates the fuss of having to get a tour guide to help you visit and learn the culture of the region. However, it may prove to be more expensive for some.
Top Three Aruba Hotels
Bucuti Beach Resort
Bucuti is really a gorgeous small resort within the low rise region. It is ideal for a honeymoon – calm, romantic with few children and is located on the most amazing expansive beach! Although there’s little night life within walking distance, there are several excellent restaurants you can walk to and also the downtown and the high rise regions are only a short taxi ride away. You also have the option of using the local bus, which is not very expensive. However, an automobile rental for at least a couple of days is an excellent idea to make it easier to explore the rest of the island. Bucuti is more of a couples than families resort. They essentially target couples in their advertising. If that’s exactly what you are interested in than this is definitely the hotel to visit.A few restaurants and Alhambra Casino are within walking distance. The Tara Suites building will not permit kids below 18 to stay there, but the Bucuti wing does. There’s never a problem getting a palapa on the beach. All suites have been renovated and are gorgeous.
Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort and Casino
The Hyatt Regency is amazing. It has 5 outstanding restaurants and 6 excellent bars, Casino, clean gym, incredible spa, gorgeous grounds and the finest staff. The resort is beautiful and the rooms are nicely appointed and extremely comfortable. The service is perfect and the rooms are cleaned two times a day by the housecleaning staff. The suites have a very nice television and are equipped with an iHome which is perfect for an iPod or any other mp3 player you might have. The beverages and food at Hyatt is quite costly. However, when the food and drinks taste as good as they do I guess you can say it’s worth it. The hotel landscape is breathtaking. It doesn’t only have stunning plants, but all sorts of birds, and reptiles! There is a beautiful beach at the resort and enjoyable times at the bars throughout the night even if you’re not drinking.
Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort
This hotel has excellent ambience, food, and service. The staff are extremely helpful – ranging from the Manager right down to the maids. The Mango restaurant close to the swimming pool has an extensive menu and excellent food. The food at this restaurant is far better than most other all-inclusive resorts located in the Caribbean. The hotel (situated at Eagle Beach) is a superb location to enjoy the Sun, while being kept cool by the trade winds. It’s a fantastic spot for couples to unwind, as well as a warm and friendly place for an extended family’s vacation. It’s silent at night and the frequent bus service at its “front door” also makes this hotel very suitable for anyone who would like to do plenty of shopping or to explore the island.
